  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

DJI Ronin

I was wondering
if you guys are targeting june (which means the august release date is not true?)
then how fast do you anticipate you guys can ramp up production?

Essentially how many units do you guys estimate you can guys can produce?
Thanks!

Excellent questions.
We are putting in all efforts to release the first batch of the Ronins before June ends. Having DJI as a backbone means we own our own factories and have the resources to crank out any quantity based off demand. The number you're seeking for is variable, but if you're worried about your Ronin being backordered for 3-months, don't. We will be able to keep up with demand one way or another.

THAT is what I was hoping to hear. I really appreciate your quick response.

Looking forward to this! Curious what our Group buy numbers can leverage in terms of a deal.

Missed this thread some how...

Firs of all, was great meeting you at NAB Willis, and see the Ronin in action both on the BTS film you guys were showing on the big screen and as well as in person...

There are very many Gimbal offerings right now and more coming to market... But I see something particularly special about the Ronin and wish you guys best of luck!!

We hope DJI gets some sort of decent customer service going soon. As of today to replace a bad HDMI board on a brand new GH3 gimbal it is 4 weeks, which is pretty bad when it should take just a day to swap out. We are literally across the street from DJI Hollywood and they still require it to be shipped to them with a RMA number in a water tight bag.

We want the Ronin to have the best support possible and see DJI excel in the high end pro market. After the disaster that they had in Austin it's important to avoid any additional missteps.

Aaron,
apologies on behalf of Hobby Line customer service. We are currently forming Pro Support away from the Hobby Line. Especially if you're local, you should be able to physically drop off the unit.

Also, Ketch!
i can't wait to show you the updated Ronin in person. You're going to love it!

So will DJI have the Ronin available for us to demo at CineGear LA tomorrow? I checked the CineGear website and can't seem to find DJI listed as an exhibitor here:

Anyone know what's up?

In case Willis is too busy and doesn't post here...

Yes, He said that they'll be at Cinegear with the Ronin... In it's new self, as a much better tool then was showed at NAB.

Ketch, thanks for holding down the fort for me. Crazy busy here. The Ronins we have for display are currently getting tested and worked on, making sure they are working top notch w/ Red Cameras.

The official name of our booth is owned by one of our distributors called "Coptershop, LLC"
We will be in booth 14, next to Canon.

Any time Willis... I can only imagine how busy you guys are right now... :)

Yes they said we could drop it off "in 4 weeks". Don't the $3500 GH3/GH4 gimbals qualify as professional? Wasn't the Austin office supposed to be the "Pro Support" office?
