I want to make a rain cover for my C300.
I have a whole 19mm studio rig with a mattebox that I want to get covered up. It would be tripod mounted and shoulder mounted.

I've looked for covers for the C300 but they are expensive and not the right design for what I need, so I need to make my own.

I'll be purchasing Clear PVC Vinyl.
I havent thought of the design completely yet, but I know I'll have a zipper at the bottom and some kind of elastic or rings on the front that attaches to the mattebox.

*But, I'm curious. If I cover the whole camera in this clear vinyl. Will it not get too hot inside?
I dont want to go through the work of using Taslan or Polyvinyl chloride fabric (the same fabric used on camera rain covers).
Id rather have it completely clear. Saves time in sewing and money.

*What is a good waterproof zipper? - Or should I use velcro or something else?
