I am an experienced Data Manager/Digital Imaging Technician that is fully capable of being mobile with a 4K cart based system that was purpose built by myself to handle all cameras workflows with a RedRocket-X Card, Ultrafast Thunderbolt 2, 6 GB ESata and USB3 connections.

I transport the system in a 2014 Ram ProMaster 2500 DIT-VAN. My DIT-CART can be setup and operational without even unloading the system. I can normally have the system setup or torn down ready for transport within 15 minutes.

The backbone of the system is a nMacPro 12 core "Trashcan" with dual 700 cards and 64GB of Ram. The nMacPro is enclosed in a Sonnet xMac Pro Thunderbolt 2 rackmount enclosure. Within the TB2 enclosure is a RED Rocket-X card, 4 slot Sonnet 6gb ESata card and an additional 2x2 card that gives me an additional 2 6gb ESata and USB3 connections. I can custom configure the server chassis to any unique or specific workflow. I am able to provide Transcodes & Dailies normally within 45 minutes of camera wrap.

With the speed of my DIT-CART I have no issues managing the data from multiple cameras. All data offloading is done through Pomfort's SilverStack software.

Also included in the system rack on the cart is the following:

1 - BlackMagic UltraStudio 4K Recorder that can record video directly to the systems RAID Drive.
1 - Blackmagic TB2 Multidock that can read 2.5" hard drives or be setup as an additional RAID array.
1 - 17" Blackmagic Smartview 1080HD monitor with pass through SDI for viewing any video feed at the cart.

My primary working drive is a Maxx Digital Thunderbolt 2 24TB ThunderRaid 2, 8 bay RAID capable of read/write speeds of 1000mbs set at RAID 5.

My DIT-CART is a Inovativ Echo 48". Mounted to the Inovativ Echo 48" DIT-CART are 2 Dell 4K Monitors, 1- 24" & 1 - 32".

The DIT-CART Workstation also has its own 4G Internet router for uploading footage to ftp servers, Dropbox, etc.

I have multiple iPads for dailies distribution and streaming.

I'm based out of Metro Detroit but I am willing to travel pretty much anywhere in the Lower 48 for the right projects.

Pictures of my DIT-CART & DIT-VAN can be viewed on my member profile page.

Feel free to PM me here on REDUser for more information or details.

Thanks
Steven

Steven, that looks badass. Great cart and van!

I've been wanting to get a van to transport my DIT kit plus offer me a place to work.

How do you get the cart on and off the van?

Thanks Dominick, the DIT-VAN & DIT-CART are a constant work in progress.

I use a portable mobility ramp that is made out of Aluminum. I have two of them one 5 foot & a 7 foot. Not only do i use them to offload the DIT-CART but also for getting up stairs at locations.

Thanks! And great idea also using it to get up stairs at locations. Is it hard to push up the ramp? Carts can get heavy fast.
