Hey, I'm still getting used to the Red One (Got a BT one this past November). I've been noticing the display at the back of the camera says DC under the POWER heading even when I'm using RedBricks. It's done this since I got it, I was wondering if it was a glitch or something I can fix by re-installing firmware, or in some hidden sub-menu I'm not finding.

Thank you!

Unless you are using RED batteries or a Swittronix battery made for the Red One you won't be getting battery info. Also, the battery plate has to carry the battery info, so it could be that as well.

I have the same problem, using RED bricks and their belt pack. Always have had this for about a year now. Would also like to know if there's a fix somehow, not a big deal, but would be nice to see on screen.

I'm using Red Bricks and a Red Cradle with their battery plate on it. It says DC power in no matter what.

It is a problem with the circuit board and would need to be repaired at Red from what I remember because I had the same problem for a year. It never bothered me because I had the hot swap.

Well that's no fun :(

If its a circuit board problem in the R1 then it must be sent into RED if you want it repaired. However, if your battery plate is used and worn, then it may be the battery plate itself. I can look at it for you to let you know what the problem might be. you can contact me at jason@CinemaOxide.com
