1st - I'm posting without searching, my apologies if this is repeated. Haven't been around in awhile.

Just wrapped a feature that shot with R1#0089X, B20.1.3 to 320GB RED Drive.

In the middle of a take - recording stopped, screen dimmed and the message: the disk has unmounted (or something like) appeared. The error cleared itself and the drive was still mounted.

I verified the cable connections, nothing lose. Never saw it [error] again.

I had exactly the same deal, but fortunately not while recording. Camera simply turned around and told me that the drive was unmounted, no-one was touching the camera, and when I clicked to 'OK' the message, it was telling me that it was in fact still mounted.

I attributed it to the cable and swapped it out, but I'd love to know more if anyone knows better?

Did you lose the take, or did it just stop recording cleanly?

Had this. It's a sign that the drive cable is on its way out.

I had this type of thing go on months before the cable completely died. New cable - problem gone.

Cheers

Thanks, helps a lot.

Try redundead. It might be able to recover part of the take.
