Disable only the touch screen input on Komodo

After getting the compact top handle I was wondering if there is any way to disable only the touch screen input on Komodo? With just the top handle mounted directly to Komodo, my knuckles can sometimes contact the touch screen by accident. I know that pressing both up/down arrows will disable both touch screen input and button input, but it would be nice if there was a way to disable just touch input so I could use the top handle without any worry of accidental screen presses, but jump right into the menus with the physical buttons. A little faster than having to lock/unlock everything for quick settings changes.

If not I guess consider this a feature request. Maybe a settings option for Lock to choose what is locked or a Fn+Up/Down hold for different Lock variation?
