Have you talked with Polanski about that, Scott ? It's not because you don't read it in his interviews that Polanski doesn't have any doubts ;-)

All the directors I have worked with had, one day or another, terrifying doubts about their work. Just like most of the people who are really creating things from the ground, being helped and followed by other people (technicians, producers, etc...) afterwards, or not ;-) And believe me, living with an artist makes you see things the deepest way. When I was just a production manager, well, directors were just a number in the equation, like dops or actors ;-)

I have terrifying doubts about my work every time I open final draft.
