I am writing a small companion guide for the Red. It actually applies to digital film - not just the Red. On some recent shoots, I found there is a need when working with DPs with 20 years experience in the film world, to translate the digital concepts into aesthetic ideas. Some DPs have wanted to understand the technical workings of the camera that allow them to better tune the visual images. So I am writing a guide that I hope will translate the world of 1s and 0s to ideas of color and movement.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
