  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Digital Cinema in 10 years time?

hmm.....

- aquisition/production/post - all on solid state media, holographic backup

- cloud computing and working with nK RAW footage on the other side of the globe

....

RGB + z sensors ?

Liquid lens ?

Variable fps projection ?

...

and maybeee...gamma consistent 10bit out of multiple driver optimized unlocked GPU's in a Mac ?

I think that 10 years from now we will see a brand new 16K format in special theaters. 4K will have been the home standard for several years and 8K Wall displays will be common in new houses.

Cheers to that.

Let's hope Chi Mei, AUO and "others" agree with the tempo and you have a role in pricing game. And let it be OLED.

Make up artists won't love you, though...

Retinal projection systems will be the primary personal delivery system. But what do I know?

Jim

Let's start with 1080p glasses from Oakley (with built-in accelerometer) and build from there. :-)

10 years from now you will stick piece of slimy gel on your forehead and picture, sound and oter stuff will flow directly to your brain. That's it.

Only dont forget to get back to reality... :yikes:

Yes most oldschool manufacturers of anything will be obsolete because of gene/bio/pharmaceutical industry :couch:
