I guess on the other hand, after about 50 feet you're dead regardless and we've all probably been that exposed 50 feet up. Good luck convincing my reptilian brain of that logic though. I would love to repel though down. Anyone make a 2,000 foot rope?

I was filming a instructional video for the Bergwacht (mountain rescuers) about cable car evacuation procedures. Big section about self belay and safety.

As soon as the camera was switched off, nobody bothered with those hooks any more.

That's insane. I like how the last 60 feet is next to nothing in terms of steps for the poor bastard, but the last part "the tricky part" there's no support for them whatsoever. Their hooks barely fit.
