I've been looking into flexilites as a replacer for my years old Redhead kit but there are two companies out there, Westscott and Aladdin. I've worked with the Aladdin ones and loved them, but how do they differ from Westscott?

Aladdin has the rights to the tech out of North America... Westcott had the rights IN North America... Somehow, someone got creative and then started getting Aladdin in North America. The tech is nearly identical. Now there are different accessories and such.

So basically it doesn't matter which one I get? A bit confusion, sounds like they are part of the same company or is it just that the patent was made from both companies with the same basic idea? :tongue_smilie:

Does anyone know if there's some update coming to these, if there are some improvements coming out (like a next gen version)? I have a hard time finding any reason to return to basic Redhead or Blondie kits after using these, but if even more light could be pushed that would seriously compete against HMIs. It's seriously awesome lights.
