We just saw DIARY OF A TEENAGE GIRL (a 2015 Sundance "darling"), and I have to say it's FANTASTIC!
I was also very happy to find out it was shot on Epic (MX or Dragon?), by one of my fave DP's right now, Brandon Trost (who regularly shoots on RED).
Looks like Brandon shot on Panavision C glass - and what he captured looks STUNNINGLY gorgeous. The film is beautiful, organic, and mesmerizing. Anyone owning a RED should look to this film as proof of how "natural" and "honest" a RED can feel/look. I was blown away.
The acting across the board is also top notch - especially Bel Powley, Kristen Wiig, and Alexander Skarsgård.
And the integration of comic book drawings is, well, priceless.
Brandon has been killing it recently (Neighbors, This is The End, The Interview). Really glad to see him make such a statement on an indie film like this (he normally lends this formidable talents to comedy, where he excels!).
