waaow ,thats very impressive how did do this?especially snow effects vaaow bravoo

Can you give an explosion breakdown? I worked on a shot similar to this using maya about 4 years ago. Looks like a mix of 2d/3d explosion & fire elements and 3d particle system effects for the debris.

lightwave and fusion, correct 2d/3d

Have not shot actors yet

Developing the 'look' right now, it's a thriller feature film
Will start production of storyboards etc
Within a week for the trailer while script is being finalized, then it's off
To attaching talent etc....working on this outside the commercial day job so it's been an ongoing project that we have just started pre production on. Stay tuned.

Explosion shot is very cool!
How will you be treating faces, etc?

Whats the project and why did you make the particular shooting/grading choices that you did?

neat reel man, kinda creepy...fun stuff

Obin, are you doing all the special effects yourself? That is some really impressive work. 3D special effects has always been something I have wanted to get into, just never had the time or patience to sit down and learn.
I do have to agree with Zakaree, I get a really strong video game feel to the demo. Your footage has a very soft 3D generated look that I actually really dig. I too would love to see what this looks like with real life actors.
Nice work

Great work Obin I am now looking towards getting a Red...

my brother is doing all the vfx work. Just shot some quick test plates to see what we want to go for, the explosion shot will have an actor walking to the car when it's finished :) will be an audiance 'shock' moment when done

So cool!

So cool!

I love the style! :D
I really wish I could do something like that, especially the snow and the car exploding.
How long did it take to put everything together and do the 2D/3D stuff?

EPIC man, Simply EPIC
Guns blazing, can't wait to see the full thing :gun:

Awesome man, I love the snow show and the explosion, keep us posted! I'm pumped!
