Detroit meets 90's Fantasy Series Opening Credits - Scarlet MX

[Ryan Lightbourn]

Here's a video I shot a few weeks back on Scarlet MX.

Using tons of green screen (aka lime-green bed sheet from Target), fish tank miniatures, and filming myself as extras, I put this together for very little money (this is the only rapper I've ever met who let me have full creative control on a music video):

P.S. I know... I should've cut in 4:3 to stay true to the VHS vibe, but a 4K WS frame looks so damn nice!

I just watched a bunch of your videos on Vimeo and you have so much great work. Thank you for posting.

The original video you linked to is hilarious and full of fun energy. Great visuals, campy, awesome sense of humor.

Super impressed.

That was bad ass, very nice work.

Thanks guys...it was definitely experimental, but hopefully I can convince more artists to shoot videos like this. I've officially called it quits on anything involving big booty hoes & fancy cars.

Great work! One of the most original and fun music videos I've seen in a while.

There's a lot of pretty mainstream stuff doing the rounds that while technically excellent is often ultimately boring.

This has real character and under all the filters you can tell it's been well shot too!

Thanks man, and I totally agree...it was a shocker that Earl ok'd the concept!
