After using a 6kw HMI as a single light for a beauty/eyewear commercial on Friday I spend the weekend browsing for XXL
Led Fresnels.
I no longer own any HMIs and have no intentions of going back. The
Recent 100 to 300w Leds I have cover 95% of what I do (mostly studio, products, beauty for cosmetic)
But a large Fresnel is a large fresnel, I just love the look on products and skin.
But most LEDs are small(ish) apart from the Mole Richardsons and a Desisti super 14 i found. Anyone used them? I worked with the 900w Mole's but there are rare in Europe and the guys who own them had 2 out of 3 ones broken within a few weeks.
The Desisti super 14 looks great on paper, I try to find a Demo unit in Paris but love to hear if anyone has used them.
