  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I am looking at a new mobile workstation, for those that are using the Dell XPS 15 how do you like it? Does it play nice with Premiere and Prores?
 
I was looking at getting either the Dell or HP as I trust them when it comes to workstations, but I wanted a Quadro Pascal GPU. At the moment only MSI seems to have one. This was a priority for me.

My configuration:
-Core i7-7820HK
-CM23 Chipset
-NVIDIA Quadro P5000 (w/ 16GB GDDR5)
-64GB DDR4 2133MHz
-512GB SSD / 1TB (7200 RPM)
-FHD display

It runs my LG 31MU97-B at 4096x2160p60 in 10-bit.

I have the CalDigita TB Station 3 and Aten CS1924 KVM on order. This KVM claims to support 4096x2160p60. I hope so.

I just received the OWC TB2 Drive dock and HighPoint TB2 to SAS for my LTO-7 tape drive.
