Deleting Clips

New Red user here (Red Raven). I am having some issues with my Red Mag. Every time I eject it from the camera and mount it to my desktop I copy the files I need and then delete the media from the Red Mag by dropping the files in the trash can. Subsequently when I put the Red Mag back into the camera I get a message saying the card isn't formatted properly. Is there something I'm missing?

You have to format the mag in the camera

Yes, definitely. It's also the best way to ensure shots you are about to record are safe. Always format, every time.

Additionally, there is no need to drag any files on the card to the trash. As others have said, just format it once it is back in the camera and all will be well.
