i know Scarlets were like 1 minute used cameras but what about Red Ones? All of them above 500-1000 hours usage? How to get newest one Do you guys gonna reset all the info before ship them?

As there are no moving parts inside the camera, and RED has thorougly checked these cameras, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

You probably right Martin..just wanted to hear from Red because my friend is worried about losing camera after 5 months..

Well I just ordered a MX. I really don't think these cameras will become a headache. They will test each one... I'm really confident with this camera. I worked with a Red one in 2010 on the Amazon shooting for a company advertising and I was really impressed. That unit reaaaally went into some serious stress! The conditions and weather on th rain forest are not easy... lol

Battle Tested RED products are completely inspected, refurbished, and any parts that need it are replaced. From the RED website: "RED Battle-Tested products have gone through a rigorous evaluation and factory-refurbishment process to meet product performance specifications. Products may include some minor cosmetic blemishes and carry a RED Re-Certified Warranty of 90 days from date of delivery." Personally, I wouldn't have the slightest hesitation to purchase a RED Battle Tested product.

But of course, once you get it - TEST EVERYTHING before the 90 day warranty expires. Then you'll have more confidence in what you got.

I can't imagine RED is making much money - if anything - out of these BT Red Ones.

Here's a tip:

Get Camera Insurance with Comprehensive Coverage.

If the camera Breaks down on its own, or just stops working in transit (moving from one location to another) then you will be covered for any repair or replacement costs.

Simple.

This is the Reason They Ship Withing 2-3 weeks, its Not That They Dont Have them It's the Process they Go Through and Demand.. Im 2 weeks out from Mine and you better belive it will be TEsted in those 90 days. RED ARMOR is not an Option for these I dont Think...
