Hi
Im editing a long footage with lots of sound channels in it. But Premiere cc 2014 seems to drop audio very often and even sound mutes completely time to time at the playback.

so do you think a dedicated sound card would make things better? Or is there any solution to audio droppings in premiere cc 2014? (PC version)

best regards
Hurcan

Hi Hurcan, I have been experiencing the same problem. Windows 7, CC 2014.2. I think this is a software issue, not a hardware issue (though I could be wrong). It's a very difficult problem to trace - very frustrating. I can't solve your problem, but I do have one suggestion: it might help to render video previews as you go. I've noticed this helps reduce, but does not eliminate, audio drop outs.

Good luck.

Hi Mark
Thanks for the suggestion. I will try that. By the way i found out that the drop outs happen only if the r3d footage has audio with it in the timeline. If i delete the r3d sound track which i use as a scratch track than the playback works without any drops even there are many audio tracks.

Great to know! I always keep the r3d audio as a safety, so I would have never discovered that. Thanks!
