December Reducation: Shooting 3D with RED

Just wanted to post a reminder - REDUCATION happens again in December at Red Studios Hollywood - 12/5 - 12/7

This time there are two optional 2-DAY EXTENSION CLASSES - 12/8-12/9 - think of this as "continuing education".

Michael Cioni is teaching the RED POST PRODUCTION and I'm teaching SHOOTING 3D WITH RED.

SHOOTING RED 3D WITH RED will be an intense 2-days where I will cover, among other things:

Fundamentals of 3D filmmaking and terminology
3D rig options and differences
3ality Technica SIP
EPIC camera settings and functionality for 3D
Budgeting, crew size and positions
Stereoscopic video assist with QTake
Data management and dailies workflows for 3D
Advanced 3D production tools and meta-data workflows (ColorFront, Mistika, Scratch Lab, etc.)
3D color grading, mastering and deliverables

I will cover the 3D post workflows being used on the biggest shot-on-Epic films in production today.

And yes - we will have some "hand-on" and we will shoot EPIC 3D on 3ality Technica rigs.

I think Ted (or someone @ Red) mentioned May to be the next potential date. I wish I could make the Dec, event but work has me tied down then. May works, I just hope it isn't full with all the other Scarleteers...
