  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Thanks for the update Jarred! Money been wired so i'm ready once i get the email :-).

Been playing with other guys dragon footage and i'm just blown away at how clean this footage is. Any updates on dragon color?

RCX will software or GPU decode Dragon footage that is in the RCX builds today... Using a Rocket-X will just make everything much, much, much faster.

Have you made an official call as to the price for the Epic-M's to Carbon Dragons?

Am I correct in thinking that there will be a firmware upgrade at some point that will let the original rocket be of some benefit with dragon footage?

Definitely planning on getting the rocket-x. Just wondering if the old card can still be of use on a secondary machine.

That was the original plan internally but truth be told by the time that build comes out the GPU program likely will outpace the original Rocket for processing Dragon footage.

Great news. Loved that last touch for the mini mags, Jarred. You should give this all up and get into comedy. I'm pretty sure it's as lucrative as running a company leading the development of Digital Cinema technology!

RED has been amazingly generous, please don't take this the wrong way, BUT - how about offering a $1,000 "core" credit to anyone who sends in their RedRocket when purchasing the RedRocket-X.

It would seem like a simple way for RED to show a little love to the people have had issues with the original Rocket and put the focus on the X.

To be clear, I'm not saying we are entitled or that RED owes us anything. It just seems like good PR and might get more RR-Xs out and about.

We did already remember... Early Adopter price was just that , $1000 off :)
 
DragonColor and DragonGamma? I know i've asked several times but i'm super interested to see the improvements.
