  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

December 1st Dragon Sensor upgrade price increase reminder

It was very much embedded into a long back and forth discussion here on RU which started a couple days ago. It is true. If you want to upgrade to Dragon, just go to the RED store. The new prices are there. No promise was made to extend it beyond the beginning of NAB.

Terry have you decided yet ;)

Hmmmm...

Today... I am leaning toward a Scarlet Dragon, pre-NAB. This is the lowest cost ticket that keeps me "in the game." While an Epic-X might meet my needs for quite some time, I hate the thought of having to sell off my old camera to buy back in. I figure I'll have 18-24 months or more to figure out the Weapon thing. And, I have to admit, I am fascinated with the new interchangeable OLPFs, the new color science and slightly better frame rates, even at 5K.

Its good to know your decisive.

I sat on the EPIC upgrade for too long and decided to stay with my Scarlet.

There is no demand in my area for a DRAGON as far as what Im into.

I will stick with the Indie projects and music videos.

If things pickup, Ill find a used EPIC :)

That's what we finally decided to do. We were flying the Epic 2 to 1 over our scarlet so this makes financial sense for drone work.
