  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I hope my rep will be at the office then, because when I ask for a quote on the web site, our early adopter discount doesn't apear on it.

Brent quick question I have fully pay on the 11 November the SCARLET to EPIC MX to DRAGON UPGRADE and send my SCARLET on the 13 unfortunately for me customs hold my SCARLET almost 10 days and my camera arrive only yesterday, bad luck...
As far i have understood with the 7/10 days for the first step of the upgrade i will have to pass or pay the 3000US to get a DRAGON. Anything you can do?

Which $3000? its 9500$ plus 9500$..
Let me clearly explain if you have Scarlet MX you pay $9500 and upgrade to Epic-MX then $9500 more for Dragon upgrade. or just pay $18,000 to upgrade directly Epic Dragon from Scarlet MX.
$3000 is Price increase on Dragon upgrades after 1st December.This means if you want to upgrade Dragon after this date you have to pay 12,500*$ not 9000$ anymore.

If I understand correctly your problem, Red just needs to receive the money before the 1st of december. Then you can send your camera whenever after the 1st of december without any 3000$ charge.
 
nope they need the serial number from the SCARLET to EPIC MX UPGRADE, money has been receive by RED on the 11/11. No serial no upgrade.

Charles, as long as the money is in before end of day on Dec 1, you are all set. Sounds like you are good.

We can reach them by phone? I totally forgot about American Thanksgiving and need to get this processed today. Thanks
 
I was thinking I could think over the weekened if using a visa card but im told earlier today this by a rep:
In respect to payment, if you are able to confirm the upgrade today, before 15.00 (GMT) we will be able to send you an invoice, which is the only way to lock in the lower price point, in this way you will have 5 days to resolve your payment.


In a way I can finally relax. Epic was a much easier choice for me. Epic is still rock solid.

Im a little confused....so one cannot pay for the upgrade on Monday? Wouldn't that essentially mean that the cutoff was today rather than Dec 1st?
 
Brent commented on this in the thread. You have till end of business day Monday so for most of you that is based on RED HQ which is 7pm PST.

I was at deluxe today supervising a grading session for footage I shot on my Dragon. The colorist was uber impressed with the footage. I was using new Tiffen Black Satin filters too. He said it was so amazing to grade the footage. He kept saying, oh there's still more info in the highlights! Ha ha. In case you're on the fence.

Epic has never been anything other than rock solid. I have never had a client say " You really should have used a better camera." And I have never said that to myself. Ever. I most certainly have said this to myself after using Canon and Panny products in the past, and would now with many cameras, but with Epic MX? Never. It just works, and shoots beautiful image after beautiful image, with no real limitations that ever get in my way.
