can someone explain the consequences of using half or quarter resolution?

Thanks

Full - this is the highest quality and most processor intensive debayer. It provides the best resolution/detail.

Half ("Half High" in the next RedRushes) - a half res debayer that provides a very good quality image close to a full debayer without aliasing. Only in RR/RL/RA/QTcomponent so far. Half High is great for 2k output without the expense of doing full debayer and scaling down.

Half (Standard): A faster debayer that is a bit perceptually sharper than half high but it's also a bit aliasy. It's good for dailes and also some finish quality work.

Quarter: Similar to Half Standard but it extracts to 1/4 resolution. Good for editorial dailies or lower res output (ie. scaling down to SD). Much faster to transcode.

Eighth: Same as quarter but even smaller and even faster to transcode. Available in the next RR/RL.
