  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

deadly CALAVERA (limited intro offer)

Got a job mid September for American Museum of Natural History in NYC. It's for an installation and we need to shoot our camera at 90 degrees. Anyone in the tristate area have one for rent?

No ... but you can borrow mine if you like.

Hey DJ, just got ours (thank you very much). Nice work, very well finished. A couple of small points/ideas if you will.

1. The 19mm spacers need to attach to the skull so they don't get lost. Those of us using the Red top plates aren't about to swap out between setups. A simple, tiny, counter-bored screw could be supplied to thread into the skull right next to the holes to hold the spacers in place. Job done.

2. The power plate is very cool but having to remove it from the V-Lock plate every time I want to mount it in a different way seems a little redundant. I realise it's too thin (and light, which is good) to be threaded itself but is there a way to have it so I can attach and remove it from the camera without removing the plate from the V-Lock?

[Edit] Just found the thread on the Power Plate and the Cine Lock. OK, that's one sorted geezer  Now, about those spacers ... [/Edit]

Those things aside, I love it. Very handy and cool-looking to boot!
