Hi,
I've owned an HDV camera for 7 years now. 2 years ago, I sent it back for repair to get a new FPA as the original had two groups of 4 dead pixels. Now, the replacement has one group of 4 and one 1 dead pixel, and they are noticeable in 720X480 pixel widescreen (16X9 anamorphic) DVD.
Does anyone know if the Mysterium FPAs will suffer from this failure mode? Is there a software mechanism to do a fix with medium good neighbor filter? Has anyone ever needed to replace a Red One FPA because of this and how much did it cost? Is there anything we can anticipate for Scarlet regarding this?
Thanks,
Tom Schaefer
