A bit off-topic, but, perhaps other Komodo users can chime in. I'm looking at a SmallHD monitor to use outdoors in direct sunlight. Seems most people are using a Cine7 which has a screen brightness of 1800 nits. SmallHD also has a smaller 5inch screen on the Ultra5, that goes to 3000 nits. The 5inch screen seems pretty small for critical focus. Are people with the 1800nit Cine7 happy with the outdoor performance?

Once you go 7" you won't ever want to go back to 5", unless you have to downsize a lot (like building a really small rig with small lenses etc). If you're pulling focus by yourself, I'd suggest looking at 7" only, at least I've went 7" after 10+ years of TV-Logic 5" and will never regret that.

Among the 7" options there's the Cine 7 that's 1800 nits, Ultra 7 even brighter. TV-Logic F7H mkII is 3000 and I can confirm it's absolutely daylight viewable even in direct sunlight in the desert. There's about 35% brightness difference between 1800 and 3000, I have a 2200 nit portkeys BM5 II and idk how accurate that measurement is, but it's not 100% daylight viewable. In fact it reflects a lot and this is making it hard to look at sometimes. Totally daylight viewable when in slight shade, but not in direct sunlight. In direct sunlight 2200 looks a bit dim to me, at least after working on several 3000 nit monitors.

Osee G7 is 3000 and below 1k, Portkeys have recently announced the BM7 II which has dual SDI in and can display 2 cams simultaneously (vertical and horizontal, which is awesome). But color wise those have some issues, that aren't as big for me.
