  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

DaVinci Resolve mini panel now available.

Mid size panel impressions:

Like:

- More on-hands control
- Not having to squander five figures for a controller

Don't like:

- Too narrow,
- Buttons too far away on upper plate,
- Groups of 5 are not practical,
- Two more screens to watch outside of main UI

What can be done do improve overall app functionality with this panel (if not already implemented or in the works):

- Color UI reconfiguration so two 5 inch screens take over bottom part of UI, clearing space on main monitor

What could have been done better on a mid size panel:

- Buttons in practical reach on the sides in 3x2 / 3x3 button groups, enabling eyes on the screen without pressing wrong buttons
- Small screens on upper part only for numerical values for pots in peripheral vision with eyes on UI/monitor
- Mutlifunctional 7-9" touch screen on the right side for clip bins/curves/nodes/clip properties/color UI windows/masks controls/curves/stills swiping

Hats off to the engineering team for new developments.

Can't go wrong with their pricing, very aggressive! Two thumbs up for Blackmagicdesign

Also curious on their new pro camera performance. 15 stops? Whoa..
