  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

David Fincher with 6 EPICs

Tattoo is stage 1 for existing Red users upgrade, these would be working prototypes (like the original city named R1s), different thing from Tattoo, no?

It is great to see them all lined up and turned on!

Keep your eye on Recon...

I couldn't disagree with you more :)

Okay, then give me some examples of why it's better than just putting it on a RED Arm?

I'm a tall guy (6'4), so in a lot of situations that I get into shooting, I like having the LCD much higher than the camera, or at an odd angle if the camera is in a weird position. That mount just looks like you have to be really close to the camera.

You need both hands to adjust LCD on a RED arm.

The whole point of this system is that you can put anything anywhere you want.

Take that mount off the camera and put it on an arm... easy.

.... With The Six Dragon Tattooes?

It seems the whole idea of that new LCD base is for easy, fast, and accurate two axis adjustments. Twist it and tilt it, and it stays. No need for loosening or tightening anything, and all with one hand on the fly. And I bet they kept it light. One thing I am sure, there is a good reason for it.

Yeah... Not to mention noga arms sometimes crap on you.
