Does anyone know if David Fincher is Shooting The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo on Red MX or Epic? I cannot find anything online about the production.

I am probably wrong, but after this picture (http://markromanek.posterous.com/fincher-red-8810-hollywood) was released wasn't it mentioned that he was prepping to shoot Dragon Tattoo on epic prototypes? Again I'm probably just dreaming that but I swear that was said or at least implied in some official capacity.

Since the title contains the word "Tattoo" I'd say using Epics would be more than appropriate - assuming RED gives the go-ahead that is...

What a start to Epic's career. Not even released and you got Soderberg and Fincher shooting with Epic already. I'd say Epic is gonna have quite a bright future (understatement of the year I'd say :)

David Fincher is shooting "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" on RED ONE MX. And he is not really happy about it. He wants EPIC. He would be shooting EPIC except he is in Sweden. We just couldn't support him there with EPIC. It might turn EPIC as soon as he returns. Same goes for Steven Soderbergh when he gets back from Hong Kong.

Then what are we waiting for, get the man a one-way ticket.

fincher has his work cut out GWDT is a very cool film. So is GWPWF for that matter. havent seen the third yet.

As much as I loved the Swedish series, it was first class Film/TV storytelling but I'm slightly hoping that they make Lisbeth a little less of a metal-head/goth chick. In the book she wasn't so outwardly like that, although she did wear all black. The character herself was absolutely spot on though.

I loved the Swedish (and sub-titled) version of the movie! It's really a great film. Fincher dose kick ass work so I look forward to seeing his interpretation!

Put on the trailer for this today on a nice big screen. It looks astoundingly good. Beautiful grade, amazing set and costume design. Thankfully it looks like they haven't undercut the real violence and truama of the book and former production. All the players look good and right in the part.

Its going to be a masterfully crafted piece of cinema...

Its at least a 15 certificate in the UK.

Reznor's remix of Led Zep's Immigrant song is damn cool too.

WARNING!: Please don't watch this if you want to see a nice, clean and representative trailer for GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO - but only if you're the kind of person that just can't wait to get a glimpse of what appears to be something REALLY, REALLY awesome!!! :)

Here's a cam'ed red-band teaser: http://www.firstshowing.net/2011/mu...dragon-tattoo-red-band-trailer/#disqus_thread

I must admit that from what I gather from this footage, mood and the just the style that Fincher brings to the table - this remake could possibly end up being a better film than the original - there, I said it, haha ;D

UPDATE: Trailer was removed, BUT, the official release of the teaser should be next week - most likely in full glorious HD. Can't wait to see this again in MUCH better quality! :)
