Hey guys,

There sin't really a good spot for this so I thought this was best - apologies if not. Silly sounding question but has anyone heard from David and ErgoCINE lately. I put in an order over the internet about six weeks ago and haven't heard a squeek back from him, or got any email replies, and just a tone on his phone number - but the web site is still up and the paypal was accepted...

That is very sad news. I've bought products from him, was always a nice person to deal with. Kind of regret selling my Ergocine gear. It was a work of art.

HI Stuart, thank you very much for that update - terrible news, if only because he was a master artisan in wood, a great problem solver and he served the film community generously. I'm sure he will be missed by all of us that have bought and used ergoCINE products on our cameras for many years... and will continue to do so for many years to come, I'm sure. That's not a bad legacy to leave behind.

Hey CHris, did you ever get your order? I was looking at putting in an order but after reading this thread I am hesitant

I didn’t realize David had passed and put in an order over a month ago. I haven’t had any response to my questions about delivery. Seems like it’s an abandoned store unfortunately...

I'm kind of glad that the site is still up, so that people can see some of the great work that David did, but someone just coming across it who may not know, may try to order something, just like Zachary. I think I will reach out to his brother this week and see if there is something that he can do to leave the site up, but make people aware that David is gone and they can no longer purchase anything.

As a side note, there is someone that is making grips in the spirit and style that David did, and he reached out to David's family and received their blessing. I can't remember the guys name or site off of the top of my head, but I believe he posted on here, before and Newsshooter did an article on him.

Might check your PayPal account to see if the sale has actually been charged. Depending on the vendor, sometimes it's not charged until shipped even if accepted.
