Hi - my scarlet keeps reverting the date to Jan 2010 every time it's powered up. I've seen a few people have had this issue with their Epic's too. I had been hoping it was an earlier firmware issue but having just updated the problem is still there... I've contacted support and they want me to send it in. Has any one else encountered this? Fixes? Suggestions? Moral support?
thanks!
Daniel

I may have good news for you. :-)

I had this problem no less than 3 times. The first two times, RED sent me an RMA, the camera went in, it came back a week or so later, "fixed." Then, within a couple of weeks, the problem reappeared. The third time it happened was about 4-5 weeks ago, I sent it in again; this time they sent me a loaner so they could keep it longer, to more thoroughly examine it. It took a couple of weeks and I got it back again working properly. It's been a couple weeks now and everything seems to be right. This time, they seemed more confident that they identified the problem correctly. Maybe you will benefit from what they learned in diagnosing my camera. Let's hope so - for both our sakes! Good luck.

Thanks Terry - that does sound promising! I was hoping to avoid a send in but seems inevitable...
