I like Aronofsky's work.
I thought Requiem For A Dream was great. Then I saw Pi, which I thought seemed like a good excercise for Requiem, but it didn't connect to me emotionally (which maybe was the point).
I was one of those people who - although I was sceptical after the bad reviews - really really really loved The Fountain, and I still do.
Great story, great acting, great images, great music, great movie.
Personally, I don't understand the hate to that movie.
I like The Fountain a lot more than The Wrestler. I also liked that one, but it seemed far less original.
Trailer for Black Swan looks great, I'm curious. I really love Natalie Portman, not only is she beautiful, I like her acting (she started out great with Leon).
I thought Winona Ryder was also gonna be in this movie? Because that's one other beautiful actress. I must sound weird, but when I heard Natalie Portman and Winona Ryder in a movie from Darren Aronofsky, I thought: wow, 2 beautiful woman in a movie from one of my favorite directors!
But she's nowhere to be seen in this trailer?
I also like the fact that Arronofsky seems to push himself with every movie to do something more or different than he has done before. And he's one of the few (together with for instance Ridley Scott) that I really like to hear giving an audio commentary on his movies.
