dark footage in premiere

Hey guys, I've searched the forum, and haven't been able to find an answer to my problem. The footage I've imported into premiere cs4.1 is much darker than what we shot, and what I saw in redcine. I looked at the gamma settings, and their all set with the original settings. Is there something I need to do to make everything look normal? I don't know what build the camera was (it was rented), but I shot back in march, so don't believe it's an issue with the build 20 that I've seen come up. If there is any information I didn't give that may be helpful, please ask. I appreciate any help you may have.
