Daredevil is a Horrible movie. The director couldn't decide which movie to copy. The Matrix?, how about Spiderman. OH I KNOW Batman Ya. lets copy a bit from every one of those 3 movies, Butcher it, throw in some horrid actors, some Sense, this makes none.... scenes, then mix is all together in the worst plot ever conceived to create a comical mess that even a chicken would find retarded. And we all know how stupid chickens are.

Awful. What I don't get is why being blinded by a vat of toxic waste makes Ben Affleck able to jump off a 40 story building and land unscathed.

OK, OK, so maybe the toxic ooze gave him special rubber skeleton powers. Fine. But how is it that Bullseye, Kingpin, and Elektra all do impossible stunts as well? They weren't blinded by anything!

Garbage.

Seems to me that much of what you're complaining about is a result of poor writing, not just directing. If you're working off a horrible script with giant plot holes there's only so much you can do.

Enough of super heros period. Time to throw out that batman underpants.

A good director would not accept a poor script, or a poor actor.

Interesting, I recently watched When in Rome (also directed by him) with my fianceé...

We both thought the movie had a fun premise and was generally shot well for what it was, but the writing and directing took every story element ("down on her luck protaganist", "bitchy boss", "cute mysterious guy", etc) so far that it was no longer funny. Eventually the overblown nature became laughable and we were able to finish the film more or less by laughing at it.

That movie came out 7 years ago and made for $78 million. No superhero movie was made for less that $100 Million. If they had more $ it could be better.

The movie made $179 Million and has a 45% in rottentomatoes. It was his 2nd movie as a director, so cut him a slack. he's doing good.

Filmmaking is a form of Art, yes. But it's also a business, an industry. In an industry, you will find a a spectrum of extremely good, extremely bad and a so - so quality products. This is important to keep the industry going. If everyone in going to shoot his or her master piece, filmmaking infrastructures or advancements can't take place.

I would prefer if people who critic films and filmmakers have some idea of what they are talking about.

The most important part of any movie is the screenplay, and it costs practically nothing to fix (except talent and time.) No amount of money can save a bad script.
