Thanks Jarred,

I've been so busy using the thing I haven't had a chance to even get a thread going.

That's a testament to what a workhorse this camera is.

I am head over heels for it. The instagram picture is behind the scenes of this shoot:

As you can see, its small and light enough to put on a manfrotto 501 - which is a ridiculous idea in and of itself - but hey - it worked great and let us move very quickly - always scrambling to get to the next setup.

The MCS shoot is a good example of the quality difference between something like a DSLR and an EPIC, even when downscaled and compressed for the web - the difference is striking.

Looking forward to sharing more of the work I've done with #552 in the near future.

Thank you Red Team for making what I would consider the world's premiere digital cinema camera.

I have to come check this thing out.

Congrats, Dan!

That picture is so... shiny! :)

Thanks guys - I got this back in September, so hardly new at all - just been busy!

That is a Ti Canon mount. I have a Ti PL from the M, and I got my scarlet with an AL mount, so sometimes we swap mounts depending on what we are doing.

Is this the same Dan Kanes that made LP-E6 plates for BrightView Wireless module?

Yes it is.

I'm no longer trying to make aftermarket accessories for the Brite-View. I have a few tricks of my own up my sleeve, and hopefully I can roll them out soon for everyone.

Meanwhile, I'm prepping for the next MCS shoot this month, and have been working on a Major Network TV Pilot being shot by Peter Smokler - famous for Peewee's Playhouse, Spinal Tap, The Drew Carey Show, and much more.

We've been using Epics from Keslow Camera, and Peter has been quite pleased overall I believe.
