Just finished our shoot in Michigan. With all the white stuff that's piling up between here and Chicago no way I'm driving home tonight. Guess there's nothin left to do but hole up in this hotel and get drunk. At least it's a nice hotel.

Cheers!

Hey Christopher, stay warm and enjoy those cocktails... Somehow I lucked out and am out of the country on a shoot where the breeze is warm and the light is perfect. Not too happy that I have to fly back to Chicago later next week, but it will be good to be home. Always enjoy your posts and if you ever need help drinking hit me up I live in the loop.

Cheers,

Andrew

I willingly went back out into the storm just to shoot it. It's crazy out there, everybody stay safe!

Thanks, Man. Enjoy the warmth and catch you in Chi-town sometime.

My view for the evening....

And I think you're sending the snow my way....

heya - not much Snow here in Colorado from this storm - as we caught the edge as it heads east - BUT we're getting the SUB_ZERO Temps, todays hi was -5° F, and we're headed to -20° F tonight (already -12°).......

Is this off the MX? Everyone here in Chicago is presently calling it Snowmageddon, Snowpocalypse, etc. haha.

It's nice. I'm a big fan of the natural upkick the snow gives the sky. I've always admired it since I was a little kid. I think I'm going to incorporate this into a shoot coming up...thanks.

I agree with you Peter. It is tough to work in it, but what you get is pretty special.

Imagine how it would have been if this was 10 years ago, with no www, cellphones in every perdon's pocket, and only a few channels on the TV. Hope you enjoy your evening Christopher.

It's about 75 degrees in my apartment right now! (about 9 pm)

I'm going to have to open a window, or turn the fan up, or something…

I couldn't agree more with you. This snow sucks, im in Jersey and it just keeps piling up. Atleast you can go back were its warm :001_smile:

Guys, it is getting crazy here in Georgia. We had some dark skies and then like...at least an inch of rain. And then there was thunder and lightning. At the same time. For like, ten minutes. And then...it started hailing! It was insane, it went on for at least 45 seconds!

I miss the north.

For those of you complaining about snow -you're missing out on one of the most beautiful events in nature. Sure it was -29 celsius this morning, but with no wind the sun and sky and sundogs were gorgeous.

The other thing about big snow is that it makes one appreciate the promise of spring, and the majesty of renewal -from new fawns being born to buds on flowers and trees...I'm sure these cherished experiences ares lost on those who do not truly live the four seasons outdoors -but I consider myself lucky.

I have three feet of snow in my front yard and six foot snowbanks on the boulevard. I can't golf yet, but April is close now!

If I ever make it home tomorrow, maybe me and the boy will go out in the yard and make a big snow man to celebrate nature's wonder. And then I think we should probably grab a couple big sticks and beat the livin crap out of Frosty!

Come to Texas. It never snows. And when it does, it's in the middle of March or April.

But there is a chance that it is going to tonight.

Have fun!

As I drove to hockey tonight I thought about this...my point was -when the big snows come it's the how the world says, "C'mon man, you need to slow down a bit, appreciate what we got here, and I'm gonna force ya."

Well it's falling here now. Hopefully it won't be too bad but I think I'll be staying in today!

Graeme

Last year we got all the snow that was going to fall in Montreal and Ottawa.
It was 98 cm the most ever that fall on Washington DC in 100 years.
This year I see all is as it suppose to be:-)
Plus 12 deg C predicted high for today here. And it is only 55 minutes fly from Ottawa
