Hey guys, just got my hands on one of the first 100 Digital Bolex cameras on the market. Ill be using this thread to post my thoughts and examples/comparisons from the camera.

Here is a link to Digital Bolex's website for more info - http://www.digitalbolex.com/

Thanks for the tests,

It's a shame about the vertical smear. Reminds me a lot of my Canon Scoopic. :)
Also reminds me of how crappy a Canadian winter can be. :)

Cheers, I know these are a bit rough at the moment - the camera actually came to me with a small sensor issue that has been manifesting in the footage since i started shooting. Weird lines across the sensor when there is a blown out element (eg. Light, snow) in the frame. The camera is being repaired over night by Digital Bolex as I write this and should be back in my hands for more testing tomorrow morning. Hopefully that solves most of the issues - as I'm starting a feature film segment with this camera in 5 days.

Next up in a day or two: Camera showdowns, I'm going to be taking the camera into more controlled environments and shooting it out against some of it's main competitors and possibly some heavier hitters.
