Czech iPhone 720p video

[Martin Weiss]

A Czech user over at Vimeo has just posted a video taken on the iPhone 4 in 720p.

As expected there is compression and blown highlights, but really. This is HD (well, 720p) shot on a freakin' little mobile phone.

It is not gonna replace an R1 or Scarlet or 5D or EX-1, but it will do wonders for image quality taken by the average user, and future uploads on youTube. And of course citizenship journalism will also take a leap.

Exciting times, and am still very much looking forward to the EPIC.

(But quite some family memories will be captured on the iPhone; horses for courses, etc.)

The toughest part of using an iPhone for behind-the-scenes filming, etc, is keeping that sucker steady.

Targus TG-42TT 42-Inch 8-Section Travel Tripod = $21

Not only does this give you a 42-Inch Tripod with "fluid head" hehe, but when condensed down to the short 11" size, it makes a great stabilizer weight for the Zgrip iPhone Jr.

Sometimes the best camera really is the one you have with you. This entire setup can fit in your purse.

Funny stuff but you're fully right -- the best one is actually that one you have with you
