Cutting an R3D without compressing it?

Hi all,

I'm pulling a blank here. I need to cut down an R3D file without converting or compressing it so I can send the necessary parts to a VFX artist without having to send the entire take.

Possible?

Yes it is possible. In RedcineX set in/out in timeline and export as R3D trim

Resolve 9 does it even better. Just copy the shots needed from the timeline and drop into the new folder, done!

If you trim in RCXPro, make sure to remove the in/out afterwards if you have the RMD auto-save option turned on. Otherwise, the next time you open the clip it will be trimmed in the viewer.
