Question (Humour me - I've made a search but came up empty-handed)

Is there any facility for customizable XML data to be saved with the footage on set? I know there have been discussions about data from lenses etc but I'm thinking more along the lines of tagging footage with continuity/sound sheets for more automated tracking in post.

Could be extremely handy (read cost saving) for on-set info on NG/OK/Print for instance to go with the footage so that bins may be automatically created in FCP, making the jobs of the editor and assistants easier/faster.

Seems a logical thing as we move to an all digital workflow - so I'm sure I'm not the first to think about it.

well ... I don't know if we are the ones that will actually build it - but we have been designing exactly that for about a year -

and yes, the RED is the perfect camera for such an adventure -

meta-data from production will change the way we edit -

it is the future -
