I searched for any threads about people doing this and couldn't find any. I have a back ground in aluminum storefront fabrication/installation and have access to what I think will be all tools needed for the job.

Are their many people doing this?

Im looking for raw data on the stats of the rail system for the scarlet. Will it be same/ or similar to the exisiting rail setup for the red one?

What about basic dimensions and wieght of the unit? Is this intentionally excluded from their site to keep companies from competeing with their accesories until the release?

Seems as though with releasing the Scarlet at such a low price they plan to make a huge amount of money with thier very expensive accessories and data storage. I'm looking at getting a S35 up and running with a lens and rails, and shoulder mount, for under 10 grand. I know I need to buy a Red Handle, I/o module, battery/charger, as well as a couple lens mounts ( I have access to some glass so lenses wont be in the budget)

I plan to build my own rails, shoulder mount, and steady cam for the Scarlet. Most likely wont be as sleek and "user friendly" as the units offered by red but they will work for me & will have some style and character ;)

(also can someone that knows the threads poiint me in the right dirction for the best links to cheap data storage solutions for the Scarlet. I'm a new user and seems to be so many posts i'm having a hard time finding that info as well.)

Thanks,
Travis
