  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Just wanted to give a shout out to the folks at http://www.dullescasecenter.com/index.html for cutting some custom foam for my Epic package:

I am extremely pleased with the service and quality they provided me.
 
Very cool. I stopped by the Pelican booth to ask about laser cutting and they will do it too (actually water cut). I have three or four cases that need to be done.

How do they do this ?..do you have to give them measurements or photos..?

Also can the pick and pluck foam be laser cut..?
or does it need to be a closed cell kind of foam..?
 
I took my gear over to the shop and they measured it, designed the layout, then custom cut and glued the closed-cell foam.

They do have the measurements for a lot of the Red products and I know several other people who have had it done.

You cannot cut pick and pluck foam with a laser, it will be a mess.
 
That is a well-organized case, and a pretty awesome camera setup. Nice work, Matt! What case are you using, btw? And I second the question about cost...

Bob, interested in what you know as well!

I've been using padded dividers, which has been nice and compact, but this has me itching to do better by my camera package. Also need to get some foam cut for a lens case...
