Custom built from the ground up for filming...Losi 5ive 1/5 scale platform. Only the best parts used, and many custom one off parts.
Losi 5ive platform
This thing is big. Its over 3 feet long, and 20" wide.
Pro-AM Billet 7075 chassis
All billet swing arms, braces, spindles, hubs
Custom chassis riser
Kershaw brushless conversion kit
200A programable speed controller
Leopard brushless electric motor
Big bore shocks
2 8000mah Kershaw batteries
Custom built adjustable isolator.
Way too much to list on the truck.
Controller is a Futaba T4PX with 2 batteries
Charger for Losi and Futaba is a Prodigy 640 DC, with dual 12v power supplies.
AB plate with P tap as well as monitor mount are on back of the truck.
Tons of spare parts, tools, etc.
Complete Movi package, includes:
Modified Movi, longer rails to handle larger cameras (approx between a
M10 and M15 size).
Uses Movi toad quick release.
Includes 5 batteries, 3 chargers, tablet for connecting/tune
Spektrum DX7s controller, tons of spare parts.
Also includes a complete 2nd movi if parts were ever needed on set.
Movi also has complete Mimic setup. Also the stock handle system if you
want to use it off the car.
I have flow just about all small form factors on this rig. Alexa mini,
Red Epic, Blackmagic Cinema Camera, Canon c series, and a bunch of DSLR.
The larger ones such as the Alexa mini and Reds need to be pretty much stripped.
I built this for a project I was shooting. After that used it on a few small shoots..
but just dont have the time, and its been sitting idle.
You can not compare this to the Freefly Tero or any other RC car out there.
It is larger, stronger, built better, and faster than any 1/5 scale camera car out there.
One of the nicest 1/5 scale built to date.
All in I have well over 10k in building this car and putting this kit together.
This is quite a large kit of equipment. You will not hop on this and get excellent results
the first time you use it. There is definitely a learning curve. Tuning the car, tuning the movi,
tuning the isolator, tuning the controller, etc. I guarantee everything to be in working order,
however, although all the batteries work and hold charges, I will not guarantee the life on
any of them. Batteries go bad, and I have no idea how much life these have left.
I would rather not ship this kit, its a lot of gear. If you are intent on it, worst case
scenario, I put it on a 4x4 pallet and ship it on that.
I will not sent footage out, please dont ask. I work in Resolve a lot and know how easy it it is
to do stabilization in post. I dont want there to be any question of how capable this machine
is, and whether or not the video was stabilized. If you are seriously interested, you are
welcome to come do a test shot with it on the weekend, and judge for yourself.
