If it is not already built into Epic, I hope some company develops an image stabilization post function. With 5K to play with, it seems like large (+/- 5 cm?) jerky camera movements could be processed out. This function would probably require some heavy duty hardware assisted processing.

It appears that EPIC will be one of the most revolutionary cameras ever released... motion and still.

I can only confirm, being with Ketch on some shoots and experiencing the EPIC M8 in different light conditions.

It is just awesome and everyone with a little bit of imagination can see the very nature of cinematic production change - or expand for that matter.

This is not about pixel peeping or specs, it is about overall results and speed of achievement. never before seen flexibility and set up time ....

It boggles my mind ... and will do so for a long time ...

We are keen to release SDKs that give everyone access to EPIC technology. And we are encouraging as many 3rd parties as possible to embrace it.

well the facts speak for themselves. how long has the Gamma Bug been Bugging the heck out of people?. Apple cannot be reached. Begging, Asking, Praying, imploring, etc. does not work with apple. All we can do is wait and see. ohh and be happy with what they give us.

This is getting increasingly farther away from the original topic, but may be Avid should just grant license to everyone to be able to use DnxHD. It's very high quality, 8 or 10 bit cross-platform codec with variable compression and, AFAIK, has no QT gamma or level issues. It doesn't even has to be QT wrapped. Avid charges for a separate license, in case of something like Resolve($500). But I think, in a long run they will benefit greatly, if everyone just decided to abandon Prores.

Apple needs to stop wrapping everything for QT and start going native. that is the way to go. that is the future. the same way Adobe is doing it. if they can so can apple. Look almost every Manufacturer has one or more codecs and most NLEs have their own wrappers or the like in order to inges/play footage. in order to clean up the mess a bit. one Must adapt to the other, and work around what the other one provided.
