  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Current accessories on future cameras?

Or conversely, what future accessories will be interchangeable with the current R1? Would love to have that bomb shaped EVF
 
Don't think the red drive will work. Maybe with scarlet and up to REDCODE 42, but this will increase the probability of frame drop. The drives was build for REDCODE 36, so that will work on both epic and scarlet, but to use maximal data rate on epic (REDCODE 225), I guess new drives are needed.

Yes, this was what I was worried about. I'd invest in the RED RAM if I knew it would have continued life with my future EPIC dreams.

Im more concerned about the lens mount position and camera size from an underwater prespective. Will the new cameras fit in to housings being developed at the moment from an optical point of view and control point of view. This is not trivial for us.

Any info welcome.
