PRICE: $1,500.00
I have used this with my Mac Pro 5,1 for the last two years. Purchased brand new and it runs PERFECTLY.
The Cubix GPU-Xpander Desktop Elite is an external PCIe expansion enclosure that gives you more PCI-express lanes to install additional GPU'S, SSD's, and USB 3.0 cards.
The Desktop Elite adds four single-slot or dual-slot PCIe cards in your host PC or Mac Pro. Connecting Desktop Elite to your Apple Mac Pro, Linux or Microsoft Windows 7/8 host computers provides desktop operators with the ability to support up to four dual-slot GPUs, graphics cards or other PCIe cards such as RED Rocket, nVIDIA SDI Capture or other cards. The Xpander also supports applications that exploit multiple GPUs, including rendering graphics or high-performance computing.
