I just updated and things are going pretty wonky. My media is not showing up and am getting Media Pending warnings. I can't even staert a new project without the same problem. I'm on the new retina display Macbook.

Yeh. Same issue. I just been testing and am freaking annoyed. GOnna try a restart...

No good

installed adobe labs, then restarted... seems to work fine now. but for some odd reason the yellow "accelerated bar" is red now indicating rendering is needed whether I am using oped CL or CUDA.... i cant work that out.

Help?

Not sure Bob... do you have redcolor 3 available in source settings? If not, then update...

In either case either the restart or the labs seemed to fix the issue. but i am still left with the bizzare "need to render bar" which should be yellow.... not RED

Yes, please update the Adobe labs patch again. Simple swap of 2 files. Using OS search and it takes 30 seconds.

Hopefully that will fix the issues.

Steve - mountain lion. Discrete graphics is also enable (ie. i made sure there was no graphics switching).

Very odd.

Bob... let the project load for a bit. I actually have better playback from the previous version... i can playback 5K FF at 7:1 off a usb3 drive as we speak...

My issue is annoyingly still the fact that it seems to indicate with a red bar that i need rendering when I clearly have cuda acceleration ON

I unfortunately did install the update... :( playback is terrible. I tried restoring with timemachine but when I opened it again it said openCL was not available and it would only use Software Mercury playback. I noticed there is a Cuda update for the rMBP. Installing that and then maybe it will work...?

Tehben, did you update the Epic Importer files? This is an important thing to do after updating. This has caused media pending issues for others and is quickly resolved after updating the patch.

The majority of people are enjoying the update without problems. However, I'm here to work with anyone having problems and help get things resolved.

Everyone is welcome to post more details in this thread or to send me a PM.

Please - let's not jump to conclusions. I'm here to help :)

Tehben - try installing the labs epic installer.

Ivan, can you check to see if the red render bar is still there even if you create a new, simple project?
Do your R3D files have 3rd party effects or do they differ from the sequence settings? Do you remember if you had ever generated previews for them?

We tested that in house and our MBP Retina displays a yellow bar with RED content.

LMK,
Wes
