For some reason the only Redgiant plugin that's safe to use in PPro CS5.5 is colorista II. Even with cuda cards every project i apply MB plugins on is prone to crash. Native Adobe effects work fine. I tried it on two computers. I have since uninstalled all Redgiant plugins. THat really saddens me because I love working with magic bullet looks.
They seem to work fine in AE though (except denoiser hard to render). Are they not multi threaded optimized? The noise reduction in Resolve sucks.
I hope CS6 has some decent color tools (speedgrade???????????

is anyone else experiencing crashes with Redgiant software

two words...neat video

and yes...Neat Video is just a game saver...but to NOT have MB plugins is a GAME changer in a different way---certainly not good. I have only had about 3 complete PrPro crashes in the past week, but most seem to be after i have loaded Colorista II and then i get a funny flickering when applying some effects....have to leave GPU acceleration and go to software and re-render...to get away from it....

I use Colorista and Looks stacked over each other on the Premiere timeline all the time without any crashes. I've gone as far as to add Mojo sometimes, for 3 MB plugins on top of each other. Not a single crash ever. Are you on a Mac? Also, you can download the latest Denoiser version for free, it runs MUCH smoother and faster on AE.

You might just be having overheat issues with your graphics card. Try a better fan/cooling system, or download SMCfan Control (mac, other stuff on PC) and set your fans higher. Colorista overdrives the card. I'm not a fan of Maqic Bullet (there are no magic bullets, really...) but it would also overheat the card.
