Hello,

I downloaded the 1.7 Premiere plug-in from the REd support page but when I click on the setup button it just shows me the progress bar for a few seconds and that's it....that's it ? No confirmation that it installed or something ?

Anyway I find it strange that in 4.2.1 Premiere I can view R3D files directly anyway. I thought I needed this plug-in to view the RED files in Premiere in the first place.

I'm on Windows 7 Professional 64

Thanks,
Mike

I had a prob installing the plugin. Please search the forum for older posts, i describe the process of manual installation there. And yes, once you install properly, it is possible to open r3d in prem and afx seamlessly as any other source file.

Stepan I think the manual install thing applied to the older RED plug-in. I can view R3D files and import them fine in Premiere but I could do this BEFORE I actually installed the plug-in, that's why I find it strange.
So Premiere and AE are working fine as R3d importing and project settings go i just find it strange that when I double click on the setup file for the plug-in all I get is that little progress bar window and no confirmation message.
